How to measure a square lamp shade:
Top: Measure the length across the top of the shade.
Bottom: Measure the length across the bottom of the shade.
Slant Height: The height of the shade is measured along the slant. Slant height on a square is measured at the mid-points of the top and bottom rings along the FACE of the shade. Do not measure along the DIAGONAL corner.
